About the Artist

Plano, Texas artist Jennifer Krips crafts shimmering hand-painted glass artwork using found, sourced, and vintage glass pieces. Most pieces are then embellished with crystals in figurative or abstract patterns. Jennifer applies her background as a jewelry designer to create one-of-a-kind functional artworks inspired by Louis Comfort Tiffany, Elsa Schiaparelli, Boucheron, and BVLGARI. Each art piece is completely unique, one-of-a-kind, and signed by the artist.
Jennifer’s work has been purchased by collectors worldwide and was recently purchased by the set decoration team of a major television studio. She is a member of the Grapevine Art Project, Plano Art Association, and the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco; she regularly exhibits her work throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth art community.

Glass Art by Krips donates a percentage of its profits each year to Kiva.com, a micro-lending platform that provides financial access to loans to help underserved communities thrive.

FAQs

Q. Can I actually put liquids in the bottles and decanters?
A. Yes, most of the objects we work with are fully functional as bottles, carafes, and decanters. Please use caution in the types of liquids you use, though, as certain alcohols and acidic liquids may degrade the protective coatings.

Q. How should I wash and maintain each piece?
A. Artworks can be gently washed with a soft cloth and water. Please do not use Windex, Isopropyl Alcohol, or other harsh cleansers to clean your artwork, as it may remove the protective coating.

Q. These look lovely in the light! Can I put them in a window?
A. Each piece has been treated with a UV coating and then finished with lacquer to ensure a smooth finish and long-lasting enjoyment. While you may wish to display these in a window, it is best to keep them out of direct sunlight. An LED lamp is the recommended display lighting for these artworks.

Q. I lost a crystal. How do I fix it?
A. Despite our best efforts, crystals may occasionally come loose, especially on pieces that do not have a flat surface. If this happens and you want to repair it yourself, we recommend using G-S Hypo Cement or B-7000 glue. You may also contact us for the repair.

Q. Do you do custom work?
A. Absolutely! Just reach out using our "Contact Us" page to send in a request. We'll work with you to come up with the perfect design and color scheme to fit your needs.
